Kendra Scott Jewelry is a company that promotes accessories like necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. The brand also promotes shining bright when wearing a piece from the Kendra Scott line. Something that is unique about Kendra Scott is that she built her jewelry business from the ground up with a starting point of 500 dollars. To this day her business is worth over 1 billion dollars. What drove Kendra Scott is that she wanted to help others and contribute money towards woman in need. For example, her first business as a young entrepreneur was starting off making fashionable hats for woman with cancer who had lost their hair through the treatment of chemo. What makes her business interesting is that she created jewelry of all shapes and colors that are affordable for people. She also has created a so called “color bar” to make experiences fun when walking into a Kendra Scott jewelry store. The color bar allows you to customize your own bracelet, necklace, and rings etc. Kendra Scott also has collabs with various companies like Disney. By creating Disney themed jewelry, one of Kendra’s most popular necklaces was little mini and mickey eared necklaces. That blew away other markets with the same concept. She is innovating by bringing jewelry shopping to life with having a lot of innovative options on how to style jewelry and create your own. Kendra Scott inspires me because she started this business from the ground up with little to no money. Then went onto the tv show Shark Tank, to pitch her business to the sharks. But she did not take an offer with any of them. In result of being on the show people saw and loved her jewelry business. I think she went onto the show just for a publicity gain which I think is clever. Kendra Scott also gives back to many different woman nonprofits like breast cancer awareness and literacy for woman and youth empowerment. The principles I have learned from Kendra Scott are to keep moving forward in a possible business idea. To never stop innovating in the society we live in through an entrepreneurial mindset.
