Andrew Glantz-Giftameal
Andrew Glantz founded giftameal, a company that partners with restaurants that help market restaurants but also give back to local food banks in the communities of the restaurants. For example, if say McDonalds is partnered with Giftameal you would go into McDonalds and get your meal take a picture of your burger and fries then post it on gift a meal and Giftameal will donate a sum of money to a local food bank in your area in honor of McDonalds. Giftameal has already given over 2.6 million meals to local food banks.
What seems impressive to me about Glantz is that instead of thinking about himself as most twenty-some-year-olds do he is trying to help those who are less fortunate and in need of food. He also impresses me because he talks about sticking to his values which is important when running a business. In the Bible 1 Timothy 6:10 talks about how money is the root of all and here we see a young entrepreneur who has taken that to action.
What makes Glantz idea interesting is that on one hand it helps restaurants in multiple ways. On one hand anyone that is posting on the app can see what restaurants are also giving a meal to the local food bank if you go there so it markets for restaurants. Then also on the other hand it helps the restaurant be able to give back to their local communities because they are on the app, which is obviously another good form of marketing and what business does not like to be able to say they are contributing to some charity work.
Lastly, Glantz has taught me something important and that is you can be a great entrepreneur who probably makes some good money but also gives back to the community.
Also below is a nice video from Giftameal:

This is a large problem in the food industry and the fact that this individual was able to create a wat to make a more giving industry is awesome.
This is a very innovative business developed through the guidance of Andrew Glantz. He was able to generate revenue for the cause he supports, which in this instance are the food banks, through the use of restaurants that also support this cause. This is a true example of a young entrepreneur as he is using the full potential of our era, gen z, by utilizing the reach and traction the internet can offer.
