Cory Nieves: Mr. Cory’s Cookies
At the young age of just 6 years old, Cory Nieves started his entrepreneurial path. After moving to Englewood, New Jersey, with his mother, Lisa, Cory was determined to help buy a car so they wouldn’t have to take the bus every day. His first idea was selling hot cocoa and lemonade for a dollar per cup. Soon after starting this, they decided to start selling all-natural cookies that were both healthy and delicious. By the age of 9, he and his mom officially launched Mr. Cory’s Cookies.

Their hard work gained a lot of attention very fast; they began selling cookies at farmers markets, races, and festivals. Local customers loved the brand, and this recognition soon grew nationally. His recognition later gave Cory the opportunity to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2015, which gave his company a huge boost. Later, he was featured on CNBC’s The Profit, which provided $100,000 in funding to help grow his business. With this momentum, Cory and Lisa launched a website and began shipping cookies across the country. They expanded their menu to 14 flavors and partnered with major retailers like Amazon, Whole Foods, and Macy’s. Today, Mr. Cory’s Cookies continues to grow, offering bundles and seasonal releases that sell out quickly.
What makes Cory’s story so inspiring is not just that he built a successful company at such a young age, but that he did it out of love and compassion for helping his mom get a car. His determination to turn a small idea into something big shows that no dream is too small to grow with hard work and persistence.

Wow! What an awesome story! It really shows just how much can be done even as a young person. There is so much room for ideas, especially if they have a really deep meaning to you and you put your mind to it.
I love this story! It makes me wonder if more young entrepreneurs would be discovered today if the Ellen Show was still popular. I love how compassionate Cory was and how much his business grew! How many kids dream of their bake stand going big like that! Must have been a dream come true for him!
