Zandra A. Cunning- Zandra Beauty

How old were you when you remember having your first great idea? Did you ever think that it could turn into a million dollar brand? Well, Zandra was nine and she didn’t know what this idea could do; but it did some incredible things. Zandra A. Cunning is a twenty one year old from Buffalo, New York. She is one of the youngest millionaires in America. Zandra’s brand “Zandra Beauty” is a plant-based skin care/beauty brand. She is an innovator in her field because she is a TEDx speaker, named the 2017 Small Business Administration Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and she apart of the Indie Business Network and Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild.

Starting her creativity in her kitchen by mixing together various lip balms, which then lead to her starting her business at nine years old. To add on top of her great achievements she was the youngest to graduate from University at Buffalo School of Management from the Allstate Minority and Women Entrepreneurial program. Zandra also a graduate from Lucky Break University which is a online course program for product designers and makers to help them with “inspiration, strategy, and industry trends”(Lucky Break University). Zandra’s was also in Teen Vouge’s #21u21 class of 2019. Teen Vouge made this so they can recognize twenty one females who are are under twenty one that are blazing the trail by empowering and are “ready to change the world”. Zandra Beauty is a plant-based skin care and beauty brand that is main focus is using sustainable ingredients and protecting the sensitive skin of young children and teens. Although it started as skin care her business grew to add soaps and body scrubs. Still keeping the sustainability and sensitive skin in mind.

Starting her own business at only the age of nine is a very impressive thing and not many nine year old’s would have the notion let alone the drive to see it come to fruition. There are a lot of sensitive skin care options out there and I think because she made hers plant-based and sustainable really made people want to buy from her brand because they value those things on top of having something for their sensitive skin.
