Mo’s Bows

I read about Moziah Bridges who is the founder of Mo’s Bows. I could not believe how young he was when he started. At 9 years old he took something simple like making bowties and turned it into a company that would eventually partner with the NBA. That’s pretty crazy to think about, especially because most of us at that age were just focused on sports and friends. What stands out about Moziah is how he wasn’t afraid to act on his idea. Everyone has cool thoughts, but he made his happen. What inspires him is a mix between creativity, passion, and the influence of his family. His grandmother helped him learn to sew, and instead of making it like a small hobby, he built a brand with it. That shows discipline and vision, two traits that I think all great entrepreneurs have. His idea is great because it connects personal style with entrepreneurship. He saw the gap of kids’ fashion was limited—and filled it in a unique way. Moziah clearly demonstrates traits like persistence, confidence, and branding ability. Getting on Shark Tank at a young age and securing mentorship from Daymond John shows that he was willing to put himself out there. On top of that, expanding Mo’s Bows to reach deals with major organizations shows he knows how to scale a business. For me, Moziah is inspiring because he makes me think about how no idea is too small to start with. Even something as simple as a bowtie can grow into something big if you have the right mindset and drive. The principle I learned from him is that passion plus persistence equals opportunity. That’s something I want to carry with me as I think about football and even my own entrepreneurial ideas.

I remember seeing his pitch on Shark Tank a couple years ago and thinking he was so cool for creating a business so young! I would be interesting to see where he is at now that he is older and see all the ways his business has grown or changed.

This is so cool that a child at this young of an age was this innovative and successful. It is crazy to think that he has worked his way up to eventually getting a partnership with the NBA. It is neat to see how he found a niche out there and was able to capitalize on it by creating fashion wear for children.
