Mikaila Ulmer

Mikaila Ulmer founded a lemonade business at the age of 4 using her grandfather’s flaxseed lemonade recipe. I think this is so cool because, as a young kid, I feel like most of us have the idea to make our own business, and the main contender is a lemonade stand because it is not only easy but also a cheap thing. I find that our parents always entertain the idea because it is so cool for a young kid to start dreaming. Not only did she have a cute little business at the age of 4, but she actually started to make money, and she donates a portion of her profits to honeybees and their safety and sustainability. So, as her business started to grow and she was growing older, and the business was still running, she decided it was time to take the business to the next step. She decided to go on the show Shark Tank to get not only resources financially, but she also wanted information to help her business grow. She received a $60,000 investment and is now selling her product in stores like Whole Foods.my final thoughts for this young entrepreneur it is so cool to not only have an idea but to act on it in her case, at a very young age and build her company from a cute little idea that every young kid has, to having a very successful company. This should not only encourage other young entrepreneurs that just because you are young does not mean you cannot do something significant, and it should give you hope that if she can do it, maybe I can too.
