Jonas Tressel-Glacier Flow

27 year old Jonas Tressel had always had a dream of owning a real estate or software company when he was a kid and he made both of those dreams happen when he founded Glacier flow which is an integrated real estate software app that has a goal to help all commercial real estate professionals list, market, sell, and close on their platform. Tressel is currently trying to uproot and destroy an already established industry with a set way of doing things that is also run by an older demographic which makes sense considering that you need money to invest in commercial real estate and not a lot of 25 year olds have half a million laying around that they can play with. They are trying to produce high value and differentiation through the app to change this industry. Tressel also said that his advice to young entrepreneurs is to take a chance anytime you can. He has a great quote where he says that you can have a corporate job any day but you may not always get an opportunity to be an entrepreneur.

I like what Tressel is doing, I think every industry is moving more online and doing everything in one place can potentially help him build a near monopoly in this sector for a good period of time. I am personally interested in developing real estate so this is quite interesting to me. I think that one place to do all of this would help people instead of having to hop on Zillow to see what is available then going to the bank to prove the money then having to go to the title company to get the settlement and title of the place together. I was inspired by Tressel’s quote to take a chance when you can because you might not always be able to and I think he is 100% right and it makes me realize you have to take chances when God gives them to you.
