Tanner Maddocks – Agape Energy

Tanner Maddocks is the 21-year-old founder of Agape Energy. Agape Energy is an energy drink rooted in Christian values and based in Pennsylvania. He prayerfully started his brand idea in September of 2025. Maddocks saw that almost all energy drink cans depicted some demonic creature or death. He decided to change this and use energy drink cans to spread the Gospel. Red Bull sells around 34 million cans per day, so if Agape could sell even a fraction of that amount the Gospel could reach the masses.

Each Agape can has a Bible verse, biblical graphics, and a QR code that has a Scripture passage to dive into. They also have unique and fun Biblical names like Moses’ Mango, Blessed Berry, and Preachin’ Peach. The current package they come in is called the Genesis 12 pack and it sells for $30. Each can is 12 ounces.

This brand is currently still in preproduction, but they are taking preorders. They have not fully released their full ingredient list, but they are currently working on the formula with Power Brands. However, Maddocks has stated that the caffeine will be naturally sourced from green tea, and it will be naturally flavored. Clean ingredients are an important aspect of Agape because God calls Christians to treat their bodies well. Agape Energy is a company going against the influence of the world to further spread the Gospel.

I love this story and the concept that Tanner had behind it, by spreading the gospel to people by showcasing it on energy drink cans. I like the idea of the QR code on the can to then get into more detail about the gospel if people are unaware of God. Also, I loved that this company is in PA because that’s where I’m from. I defiantly need to check Tanners energy drinks Agape.

As someone who recently started seeing the value in energy drinks, seeing ones with cans that aren’t covered in edgy branding or anything of the sort is immensely interesting! I may have to try and buy a can, and see how they taste!

I love how obscure of a problem that Tanner found. He really just witnessed the world around him and realized how demonic depictions should not be emphasized with energy drinks. I think this is a great idea and I would love to see how they taste being all natural.

I have been seeing this product recently all over social media and think it is an incredible idea. I have always found it bizarre how much conversation is made over energy drink preferences but never has the idea of making this conversation a fruitful one through the implementation of Christ crossed my mind. I’m a fan and hope the product continues to grow.
