Markus Villig
Markus Villig was born in 1993 in Tartu, Estonia. When he was 19, he founded Bolt in 2013. Originally, it was called Taxify. His main goal was to make transportation more affordable, and more efficient. He had a small startup, and it has grown into one of the largest mobility companies in the world. It operates in more than 40 countries, and it even offers different services. Markus Villig is a very determined and creative guy. He did not come from a lot of money. He had to start Bolt with borrowed money from his parents. His persistence is what got him to where he is today. Bolt is big competition with Uber. Bolt focuses and drivers that are local and have reasonable prices. Most of his transportation techniques are electric. Markus Villig is a huge activist for environmental health. Bolt has led him to be one of Europe’s youngest billionaires and is a big inspiration to many young entrepreneurs.

I can see that Markus is very passionate about environmental health. It isn’t easy starting a business, let alone a pro-environment one. Being determined about this kind of thing is huge. It is very good that so many people are starting to get more involved in taking care of the ecosystem!
