Felix Finkbeiner

As a 9-year-old who was passionate about the eco-system, Felix Finkbeiner was only scratching the surface of making a long-lasting impact to climate change when he gave a simple school presentation that challenged people to plant trees across the world.

Plant-For-The-Planet is a company inspired by Felix that educates and empowers young generations to plant trees in parts of the world in order to help restore the ecosystem. Born in 2007 by Felix’s challenge of planting one million trees in every country, Plant-For-The-Planet has been a large, active part in planting trees in 76 countries and advocating for climate change laws to passed in many of those countries to prevent deforestation.

Felix’s story is inspiring because of the passion that he has carried about climate change from such a young age. He is one of the leading Genz environmental activists in the entire world. It is amazing to see how his vision has developed into an environmental service that has changed the course of the progression of climate change. Plant-For-The-Planet is now well on its way to planting one trillion trees in the world through innovation of the company’s strategy of utilizing donations. This project is ongoing and growing. In 2024, this company won the UN’s SDG Action Award for its significant impact on the environment.
