Cory Nieves
Cory Nieves, born and raised in Englewood, New Jersey, founded his business at the young age of six. His company was focused on creating all-natural flavored cookies and other sweet treats, eventually being named Mr. Cory’s Cookies. The dessert’s recipes are high quality and made from natural ingredients.
The company was founded when six-year-old Cory complained to his mom one day about having to take the bus every day instead of the family buying a car. Young Cory then decided to attempt to raise money for a family car by selling hot chocolate to people in their small town. He then expanded to selling lemonade and eventually cookies, leading to his brand being created and his business expanding.
Now, his company includes a variety of flavors and business is booming for the seventeen-year-old entrepreneur whose idea all began with wanting to buy his mom a car.

This is a very inspiring story. The age at which some entrepreneurs start their businesses is incredible. It goes to show that even at absurdly young, we can do great things. It is about having a vision and the will to execute it. Another thing this story shows is how entrepreneurship is happening all around us. I am from NJ and haven’t seen these even though they are from and in my home state. It gives me encouragement to look for these ventures happening around me and expand my horizons as a customer by not always relying on name brands and supporting more people like Cory with my business.
The story of Cory is sweet and shows how, no matter your age, their are always opportunities to start a business. Even something as simple as a business that sells sweet snacks and treats can do seriously well. With creativity and some innovation anything is possible, which can be seen in Cory’s story.
Great post! I love how simple his start to his business was he just wanted to not ride the bus to school every day and yet he started a business from this. It shows how great ideas can come from anywhere you just have to start somewhere. I also think this story is super inspiring because of how young he was when he started.
This is such a wholesome and heartwarming story! I love seeing kids with big hearts reach their goals! It says a lot about his character that he was able to pursue something that required hard work and perseverance in order to help his family and make their lives easier.
