Brennan Agranoff – HoopSwag
Brennan Agranoff is a Gen-Z entrepreneur who was born in 2000. He founded HoopSwag at just 13 years old in 2013. Brennan was inspired by clothing and looks on athletes. He noticed that sock styles were always the same and almost never changing. That’s why he created HoopSwag to add some more flair and personality to the players. HoopSwag’s main product line is socks, but they have since branched out to hoodies, sweatshirts, and more. The designs are very expressive and unique and consist of things like donuts, galaxy prints, and cacti.

Brennan is unique because where other companies excel in places like shirts, pants, arm sleeves, and leg sleeves, he excels in a missing spot like socks. Brennan is driven to add that flair that’s missing to sports teams all over and create a profit in doing so. Brennan’s niche idea of socks is what makes his idea so great. It helps differentiate him from any other potential product in the market. Brennan demonstrates characteristics like creativity, determination, and design. His creativity is in the product creating a variety of different unique socks for sports players and other people around the world to wear. He is determined to solve the problem that socks have stayed boring in sports for far too long. He designs both the solution to the problem and the product to create his brand HoopSwag. Brennan is inspiring because he solves something that you would think to be a small problem that no one would care about but makes it really interesting and people really care to buy into it. Brennan has taught me that it does not matter how small the problem may seem there are plenty of people out there who most likely struggle with it that you can turn it into an entrepreneurial adventure.

This is a really cool example of what creativity and differentiation looks like in a company! It also shows that there really is no problem too small that can’t be solved with a cool product.
I love the idea of creating variation in a market that people didn’t think needed any. It reminds me of Pop Flex, which is activewear for women that is also meant to be fashionable. It makes total sense that something for men could also be achieved.
It is interesting how Brennan was able to find a way to make decent profit of of something that many people would not consider a money maker. This shows you how valuable branding and personalization is to customers and businesses.
