Quinn Aiello – Kamber Labs

In 2021, at just 18 years old, young entrepreneur and snowboarder Quinn Aiello founded a snowboard and ski brand called Kamber Labs. The company focuses on making handmade, quality snowboards that use real craftsmanship instead of mass-produced factory products, which was one of the main things that motivated Quinn. Quinn’s whole idea is to bring quality, passion, and creativity back into the equipment. Instead of following the big commercial brands, Kamber Labs builds every board by hand and even screen-prints their own apparel. In the beginning, Quinn experimented with a lot of different board shapes and designs, especially when he started working on powder surfers, which are binding-less snowboards you ride almost like a surfboard in deep snow. Between early 2022 and the summer of 2023, he went through multiple prototypes, adjusting the shape, base, fins, and overall feel of the board until he finally created something he was proud of.

In 2023, Quinn brought Chris Hagenau onto the Kamber Labs team, and that’s when the company really began to grow. Chris had years of experience building snowboards and shared the same love for winter sports and hands-on craftsmanship. The two met in college and realized they had similar goals and a passion for building quality snow equipment. Together, they are continuing to grow Kamber Labs by focusing on creativity and staying involved in every step of the building process. Their story shows us how entrepreneurship can come from following your passions and wanting to improve something you care about.

Really cool how two young people took a chance to expand something they love like snowboarding and made a unique business out of it. Also being able to perfect the craftsmanship of handmaking snowboards is impressive at such a young age. Great post.
