The Slow Entrepreneur
An article I read while preparing for the blog post stood out to me, titled How Gen Z Entrepreneurs Are Building Slower, Smarter Businesses. The article explained how many of the approaches Gen Z entrepreneurs are taking, run counter to what previous generations considered necessary for success. It mentions the old Facebook motto, “Move fast and break things,” which I think most Gen Z entrepreneurs would agree is not the ideal way to operate. Moving fast and breaking things often leads to recklessness something Gen Z, as a whole, wants to avoid.
According to the article, Gen Z seems to have a desire to redefine both the system of success and what it means to be a successful businessperson. From my perspective, lifestyle businesses and slow-hunch or process-driven businesses appear to be much more attractive to Gen Z entrepreneurs. By tackling your business in this way things like work-life balance and burnout are more easily avoidable.
