Sojo

Josephine Philips is a young entrepreneur who studied physics and philosophy at King’s College, London, and had the original idea for Sojo in her senior year. Philips discovered the problem when she would be shopping for secondhand clothes, but they never fit properly. Unable to sew and not able to afford a tailor, she started Sojo. Sojo allows customers to have their clothing picked up, altered, and returned in just a few days. Over the course of the last several years, Sojo has partnered with several companies and has even expanded internationally. Josephine Phillips is a perfect example of finding a problem and working hard to solve it.

Having a tailoring company that specializes in refitting used garments seems super handy! Because of my height, I’m always sending all my clothes to a tailor to have them resized, so having an easy service like this could be a game changer for people like me!
