Lily Born – Kangaroo Cup
At the age of 9 Lily was faced with a problem. Her grandfather was suffering from Parkinsons disease and kept spilling his drinks. Unlike most who would have accepted this state of affairs as a part of life she strove to make life easier for him. She thus began prototyping the first versions of what would become the kangaroo cup, a “unspillable” cup that would allow people such as her grandfather to not have to worry about spilling their drinks again.
At the age of 11 she had gone through several prototypes and a kickstarter campaign that allowed her to fund her business, eventually enabling her to sell thousands of kangaroo cups worldwide!
She had seen a problem effecting the life of her grandparents than sold the solution to thousands at the age of 11 and that shows us that age doesn’t matter when you have a good idea to make the world a better place, nor do you need something flashy to help thousands of people.

This is an incredible story. It shows the good that entrepreneurship can put into the world. By pursuing her idea of creating an “unspillable” cup and helping her grandfather, Lily now has a genius product that can help millions. I love that you included how most people would have handled seeing their grandfathers with this issue because it really shows why Lily is so special. Most people would have not done anything about the situation, but Lily went out and took initiative. She couldn’t stand to watch her grandpa suffer, and this shows that out of even a servant heart, entrepreneurship can be born.

This is an awesome idea! My grandfather’s hands shake all the time which does make it difficult to hold things or work with precision. This would be a great way to solve that, and even expand into a baby product too!
