Tania Pouzeshvaran- Founder of The Protein Pastry
At just 17 years old, Tania Pouzeshvaran has shown that there is no age limit to success. Tania founded The Protein Pastry in 2025 from her home in Ontario, Canada. The Protein Pastry blends Pouzeshvaran’s passion for fitness and baking into a successful entrepreneurial venture. The cookies are delicious yet high in protein and low-calorie, making them the perfect guilt-free treat.
Tania’s journey began with the City of Richmond Hill’s Summer Company program, a youth entrepreneurship initiative that provided her with a grant and essential mentorship. Through this experience, she was able to develop recipes that packed muscle-building protein into classic flavors of cookies. What originally started as a summer program quickly spiraled into a business, and now her products are available in local retail and online.
Tania’s innovation and determination did not go unnoticed. On November 26, 2025, Tania was awarded with the William F. Bell Young Entrepreneur Award, named after former Richmond Hill mayor William F. Bell. This award celebrates and recognizes achievement, creativity, and entrepreneurial drive. Pouzeshvaran was praised by city officials for turning her hobby into a growing business and inspiring young teen entrepreneurs.
Looking ahead, Tania plans to expand her product line and distribution. She is working on building a new and innovative movement in sustainable snacking. Pouzeshvaran is living proof that young entrepreneurs can rise to the top.

So interesting! I can’t believe Tania managed to find a working recipe for something like that with a good balance between health and flavor at 17!
It is awesome that she turned fitness and baking into a business at just 17.
I love that Tania used the grant from the summer entrepreneurship camp to then further her idea making her product into a healthy recipe that everyone would love!
This is such a cool idea! I love hearing about cool and new ideas that people come up with! I find it so interesting that she did this all when she was just 17, and even won an award for her innovation!
