Cory Nieves

At just 17 years old, Cory Nieves became head of the Mr. Cory’s Cookies, which is an all-natural and high-quality cookie company that was very profitable. His company offers many original cookie recipes such as Double Dark, Sugar, Oatmeal Raisin, Sugar, and more to come!

His inspiration to start making cookies came from his mom who did not have a car at the time. At 6 years old, He complained to his mother that he was tired of taking the bus to school every day and wanted his mom to drive him. Since she did not have a car, he decided to start selling hot coco in his hometown to raise money so his mom could buy a new car.

His entrepreneurial passion rose while selling hot coco and decided to save for college with the help from his mom. He expanded his business and started to sell lemonade and cookies along with the hot coco due to his dedication. Cory and his mom even learned the ins and outs of baking and began testing original recipes. Mr. Cory’s Cookies have since seen much success in places such as Aetna, Barney’s, Bloomingdales, Citibank, J. Crew, Macy’s, Mercedes-Benz, Pottery Barn, Ralph Lauren, TOMS, Viacom, Whole Foods, Williams-Sonoma and recently partnered with Marcus Lemonis.

Lisa Howard spoke out talking about the behind the scenes of this business. Running a business is not easy! I think that it is beyond fascinating that they created a very well and successful business out of one problem they faced.

I think it is wonderful how he was not only trying to benefit himself, but also his mom. Some of the best ideas can come from helping those you love.

I love his idea of an all-natural cookie; there is so much processed stuff in the world that is terrible for you.

Great article! I like how he was able to start thinking entrepreneurially even from such a young age. Also being the head of an enormous company at the age of 17 is simply incredible and should be model for other young people.
