Andrew Glantz

Andrew Glantz is the founder and CEO of GiftAMeal. GiftAMeal is a mobile app that will provide a meal to someone in need whenever a user takes a picture at one of the partner restaurants. GiftAMeal began as a student start up and quickly expanded to over 1,000 restaurants with more than 2.4 million meals provided to those in need.
Not only does Andrew care about helping others, but he also really cares about the well-being of his team. This makes him very unique. In today’s world we don’t see businesses genuinely caring about their employees and what they have to say. I believe that Andrew’s drive comes from the mission of the company and it shows in how he treats his employees too.
Andrew Glantz focused a lot on leadership skills while he studied at WashU. He was community service chair for his social fraternity, captain for intramural sports teams and a co-owner for a non-profit storefront. He also got exposed to a bunch of different leadership styles by taking the “Defining Moments” course offered at Olin Business School. Andrew took what he liked from everyone he learned from and created his own leadership style.
I’m very inspired by Andrew Glantz because he is for the mission, not necessarily for the money. He saw the problem of hunger in the world and helped to fix this problem.

Cool how people can help others only through a mobile app. World hunger is a huge problem and hard to fix, so it’s cool to see someone try.
