Jack’s Stands and Marketplaces

Meet Jack Bonneau, an 8-year-old kid at the time who just wanted to buy some Legos. Jack wanted to buy a Lego Death Star but realized it was too much money. So, he did what many young kids do and made a lemonade stand. In just three months of selling lemonade, he saved up the 900 dollars to buy the Lego. He then realized how much money he made and how incredible it was. So instead of continuing to sell lemonade, he and his dad opened up Jacks Stands and Marketplaces. Jack was so inspired he opened this up to help teach other kids how to become their own entrepreneurs as well. Jack and his dad help kids set up stands around the city (Denver area), then check back later to see how they are doing. After 4 years of just charging a onetime fee of 15 dollars and helping out hundreds of kids, there were thousands of these stands around the city. Once Jack got to high school, he turned the company to a non-profit so he could parter with bigger organizations and help kids on a much larger scale.

I loved reading this sweet story of Jack making a difference in the world. Jack was not only able to help other kids by setting up marketplaces, he was making money on top of that. This story is heartwarming and shows how entrepreneurship can come from any age.

Wow! Young entrepreneurs are always so skilled and love to teach that skill to their friends. It’s great that he was able to save up and get the Lego set he worked so hard! It always feels so great when you accomplish your goal!
