Kobee’s

Kobe came up with his idea while conducting research at his university on sustainability and bees for one of his professors. In the spring of 2019, after school was out, Kobe asked his mom for $200 to buy ingredients to experiment with lip balm formulas on his bedroom floor. By that fall, Kobe had a finalized formula and packaging.
Once school started again, Kobe was making success in his sales, so he decided to drop out and pursue the business full-time. He did not tell his dad that he was dropping out at the time, but rather convinced him that he was doing online classes.
Kobee’s is based in Las Vegas, currently selling lip balms, lotions, lip scrubs, cuticle butter, and hand salve. His products are known for their simple ingredients such as coconut oil, sunflower oil, mango butter, and his key ingredient, beeswax. His products also come in compostable packaging to make them environmentally friendly. These unique products retail from $5 to $42, depending on the product. Today the products are mostly sold on amazon and their direct-to-consumer website.
Kobe took a leap of faith when his sales reached $15,000 worth of product sold in just one day. He took this leap by making the decision to go on Shark Tank in 2024 with hopes of a deal and more recognition for the company. However, Kobe trusted his gut and ended up leaving Shark Tank without a deal after not feeling satisfied with the Shark’s offers.
You can still buy these products now and the company still prides itself on its compostable packaging, all-natural ingredients, cruelty free, being climate positive, and handmade.
