Anna Molinari- Founder and CEO of Indistinct Brand

Growing up, Anna Molinari had love for fashion and wearable art. When she entered high school, she began to experiment with unconventional materials and art. This lead Anna Molinari to study Fashion Design and Entrepreneurship at Syracuse University. She also spent time at London College of Fashion.

As she progressed through college and COVID-19, she embraced her innovative ideas and started creating sustainable fashion out of discarded materials. COVID-19 hit while Molinari was designing her thesis collection. Because of COVID, Anna labored for about a year then launched her collection on TikTok, Instagram, and the Indistinct Brand website. Her early posts went viral gaining her brand publicity.

Anna Molinari’s brand is currently being worn by actor Chloe Cherry, influencer Julia Fox, and Patty Gonia.

Through Anna’s innovation, she was able to make a career out of trash. Not only does she have a career in fashion, she also has corporate clients that hire her to upcycle company boxes or even create content videos for them. Her corporate clients include TikTok, Shutterfly, Samsung, Fuse, and Netflix.

Anna Molinari believes that we don’t need new clothes, we just need to learn how to recycle and recreate. She is against mass consumerism and truly lives up the the statement one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

As someone who loves thrifted/upcycled clothes this idea is so cool! I love that she pursued her ideas in the face of hardship and is able to see her creations find their place in the world.

This is a great use of old and discarded clothing! I can imagine the profit margin must be great too for a business like this: buying low and selling high. I have a similar idea for a business in mind, but it may not be as creative as hers sounds!
