Brennan Agranoff – HoopSwagg
At just the age 13, Brennan Agranoff came up with an idea that would change his life. While he was watching a basketball game he noticed everyone had on the same boring basic socks. Brennan thought that athletes should be able to express themselves through what they wear, so he came up with the company HoopSwagg. HoopSwag is a company that makes custom socks with creative bold designs that stand out.

In 2013 HoopSwag was launched from his family’s garage, using a small printing machine and teaching himself how to build his own website. Brennan had a simple vision, to make socks that stood out and were comfortable. Brennan handled everything from design to production to marketing, he did it all, and it paid off very fast. By the time he was 14 he was hiring and managing a company that had already made around one million dollars in sales.
Today HoopSwag has grown beyond socks, they now sell custom arm sleeves and other sports apparel. Since HoopSwag Brennan has moved himself into other business startups as well, such as PetParty and LitMitts. On his website he says their goal is to make products that are “crazy comfortable” while continuing to find new ways to innovate and improve.
Brennan’s story is inspiring because he took something as simple as socks and turned it into a successful brand. His story proves that entrepreneurs can start with any idea as long as you have passion, creativity, and the drive to succeed.

Its crazy how the simple ideas that one has in their young age can become a full-time lucrative business. It is a nice reminder even the most basic of ideas like colorful socks for athletes can be a profitable and impactful startup.
I remember being a young athlete and asking my parents for this brand of socks! It’s cool to hear that Brennan’s company is still thriving and innovating. He turned something simple into something that has unimaginable potential.
Coming from an athlete and a sports enthusiast it is really impressive to be able to take something you love and create a business out of it. Teaching yourself how to make and print these colorful socks out of your parent’s garage also make this a special idea. No mass production or hundreds of employees, just a kid figuring it out.
