Toby Brown – Beem

Toby Brown is the founder of Beem. From a young age Toby has shown a real fascination in technology. At the age of just seven, his parents bought him Raspberry Pi, a cheap coding computer for young coders. He started spending all his time teaching himself how to code through YouTube and Google. It was through this period of teaching himself code that on of his main strengths started to show. He was determined. If there was a game that he wanted to build, he wouldn’t stop until it as built. Toby found himself designing math games and alarm systems of all sorts.
Despite being a prodigy coder and computer user from such a young age, brown was a very average student. He loved to leaner but only on his own terms. He would float through the day in school but then would spend his time teaching himself coding until late into the morning. It was through this process that in 2023 he founded Beem. Toby had a vision to make coding easier by taking out the annoying part of it to be done by AI. To grow his business full-time, Brown dropped out of school and spent the summer of 2024 biking around businesses in London searching for venture funding. He eventually started pithing his idea over Zoom to different Silicon Valley investors. It was over one of these zoom calls that Toby met the investors from South Park Commons, a company founded by some Facebook engineers. They offered to invest 1 million dollars in his project. That was all Toby needed to hear. He applied for a visa and moved to silicone valley. He lives there now as he continues to work on developing Beem to be a revolutionary move in the world of AI tech.
Toby Brown’s story is a great reminder of what can be done when someone has the drive to teach themselves and skill and has curiosity to see where that leads them. His number one piece of advice for young entrepreneurs is to be delusional and dream big about what can be done.

It’s so cool to see how he was able to follow his passions and drive! I think young people are so capable, and it’s great to see him flourish. I love how driven he is!
