Rachel Zietz
Rachiel Zietz is the founder of Gladiator Lacrosse, a high-quality sports line for training equipment. She is partnered with one of the world’s best professional lacrosse players Casey Powell. She was born in early 2000 in wayne new jersey than raised in Boca Raton Florida. Zeitz began her entrepreneurial personality at the young age of 12 where she identified an unmet space in the sports field. By locating the the pain point of expensive low quality equipment she decided to attack the problem at first hand. In 2013 Rachiel Joined the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, at this institution this she pitched her idea to investors about gladiator lacrosse. Her first product consisted of goals and rebounders, which she would make and do the testing proccess herself. By age 15, Gladiator Lacrosse had generated over $1 million in revenue, and Rachel appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank (Season 7), gaining national attention and an estimated $9 million in free publicity. Rachel’s success continued as her company expanded into professional-grade equipment, supplying colleges such as Harvard, Yale, and Georgetown. In 2018, Gladiator Lacrosse acquired a competitor, further strengthening its market position. By 2020, the company was projected to reach $7 million in annual revenue. Her achievements have earned her numerous accolades, including being named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in Retail & E-commerce (2020), TIME’s Most Influential Teens of 2016, and recognition from Fortune and Inc. Magazine. She also received the Governor’s Young Entrepreneur Award from Florida Governor Rick Scott. Rachel graduated cum laude from Pine Crest School in 2018 and is currently completing her degree in Economics with a certificate in Finance at Princeton University, where she also captained her club lacrosse team. Beyond business, she actively speaks at conferences and mentors aspiring entrepreneurs, embodying the values of innovation, perseverance, and leadership. Today, Rachel Zietz stands as a role model for young innovators, proving that age is no barrier to success when passion and determination lead the way.

As a homeschooler who was mildly interested in sports, I can relate to the issue of having expensive equipment. My homeschool track and cross-country team didn’t have the majority of the equipment that public schools do, simply because it is too expensive. I think this would be very helpful for them to increase the quality of the training that they can do.
I find it really inspiring that she wanted to make sure other kids that wanted to up their game had a chance with higher quality gear! By finding that problem at the age of twelve really interesting!
