Jermaine Ho

Jarmaine Ho, 25, has been a content creator for the past two years. She steadily gained a large following on both Instagram and TikTok, for her charm and amazing outfits. She presents many aspects of versatility in her fashion, with a seemingly effortless mix of high and low. Working her outfits with various popular Japanese brands and emerging regional labels. Ho says that she tends to ” towards minimalistic pieces with clean lines and interesting textures, blending classic elements with a modern twist.”

Ho decided that what better way to embrace this passion than to pursue it herself. She started her company, Plop Apparels, a concept fashion store, carrying a variety of emerging Southeast Asian designers. Focusing on individuality, quality, authenticity, and empowerment. She stated that her driving force derived from her ” love for discovering new and unique pieces made me realize that I had a keen eye for detail, which spurred me to build an avenue where I could share my vision and taste with the masses.”

Plop Apparels has temporarily stopped their operations in order to relocate and expand the brand. The store is set to be moved to a popular, culture-filled street, offering a promising future for the rising company. This new-location will also feature a Cafe, allowing the intersection the varying disciplines of design and food.

Ho is immensely thankful for all of the support she has received over the years, as well as, the friendships and connections she has made in the industry. She recognizes how important community is, without it being at the forefront, a company will never thrive. So, alongside connections she ensures that every customer is treated kindly, and can feel like a member of her community.
