Emma Yang

Emma Yang is a young entrepreneur from Hong Kong who thought of the ground breaking idea as a senior in high school where she graduated at the age of 16 years old that which would eventually become the app timeless. Emma’s path to creating timeless started when she was six years old when she learned how to code and quickly became passionate about it and eventually a a talented coder. You might ask what is timeless, I have never heard of it and that would add up because the app is designed to allow Alzheimer and memory loss patients to be able to connect and stay up to date with their families and friends. Timeless helps Alzheimer and memory loss patients by helping them to remember things such as who people are in a picture by labeling them, giving them reminders on when and where certain events are like a dinner with family and friends. Emma caught inspiration for Timeless from her grandmother having Alzheimer’s. Then Emma took the things that Alzheimer patients struggle with the most and tried to put them into an app that could help her grandma still feel connected and engaged with her friends and family.
I personally admire Emma and her desire to help her grandmother, which a lot of people just forget to do nowadays. I know if my grandparents had a problem like this, I would want to find a way to help them. Another cool thing Emma did is she used her skill and love of coding to start a business and potentially change the world. It is a reminder to me that I can potentially change the world by using the skills and passions I have right now and eventually it will turn into an idea I can really get behind.

What an awesome story! I can’t imagine being able to learn to code at 6, what a genius.
