Heart Of A Servant, Mind Of An Entrepreneur

Some business ideas are not so much a plan to engineer a service that will be financially successful as a natural extension of the founder. Andrew Glantz is a great example of a person who built a business focused on service, something he has been involved in for most of his life. Andrew Glantz is the CEO of GiftAMeal, a program that, as the name implies, gives meals to those in need, and he is a lifetime entrepreneur and servant of the community. In high school Glantz expressed his ability to innovate and serve as Vice President of a non-profit, called Junior Variety. Under Glantz’s leadership Junior Variety raised $350,000 on the model of giving young adults the opportunity to provided children and other young adults with basic necessities ranging from food to education.

While at Washington University, Glantz started two service oriented organizations. His first venture was in a non-profit that offered a place for people to donate as well as obtain items “for free to promote reuse and sustainability”. His second college venture was GiftAMeal, which he started in 2015. GiftAMeal is a program that gives a meal to someone in need every time a customer takes a photo of a meal at a restaurant in the GiftAMeal program. GiftAMeal also serves restaurants by increasing sales, loyalty, and tip amounts by 20-40%. This for-profit program is an obvious extension of Andrew Glantz’s love for caring for others and wanting to serve. This business also fills a unique role by serving local communities in a philanthropic way, while also serving the businesses that use it as a tool to boost business, while serving their neighbors at the same time.

After graduating from Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2017, Andrew Glantz devoted his full attention to growing GiftAMeal. Today, GiftAMeal has partnered with businesses in over 44 different states in the US to provided more than 2.5 million meals to those in need.

I think these businesses are such great ideas and they are a great way to help serve in society. His ideas are such a great way to help those in need in a new inventive way that is out of the box. I think this company would interest a lot of people and make them want to get involved.
