Cal Ai – Competion from a Highschooler

Zach Yadegari was a coder and entrepreneur from a very young age. In February 2024, he turned 18 and began to use his skills in coding. He wanted to make a health app, more specifically, an AI calorie-tracking app. He looked at competitors such as MyFitnessPal, which has around 274 million monthly users. However, MyFitnessPal is very expensive, so people would love a cheaper alternative. During this same month of February, Zach began coding for his app called “Cal Ai”. Soon after the app was finished, it immediately started to grow. The app found itself with a monthly salary of around 1.4 million dollars. There was a monthly subscription of $2.49 and a yearly bill of $29.99. With enough users purchasing this affordable plan it was very easy to grow an audience quickly. Zach now has 30 employees and is the CEO of his own company. He has parents with kids that rely on paychecks from him to feed there familys at just the age of 18. He drives a lamborghini and lives in a mansion with his boys where their moto is “Money CAN buy happiness”. Zach wants to make the point that age doesnt matter when it comes to entrepreneurship.

Zach’s product is very cool. Taking the developments in AI that we have now and using it to help people with their health is awesome.

Interesting story! While I don’t 100% agree with all parts of their motto, his story is a great example of a young entrepreneur that saw a problem and used his skills to create a solution. It’s also great that he utilizes his wealth to help those who are less-fortunate.

Great story! It is so smart to create an inexpensive app that a lot of people can use because it will get more foot traffic than if it was more expensive.
