Isabella Dymalovski – Luv Ur Skin

At the age of 8 years old, Isabella stumbled on the idea for Luv Ur Skin out of a desire to have products made for her and sharing them with her friends of the same age.

When Isabella was 8 years old, she asked to use her mom’s skincare products to get heavy dance makeup off of her skin. Her mom refused (because her skincare products were not suited to Isabella’s young skin). When Isabella asked to make her own, her mom agreed, and helped to set her up with a team of chemists in order to create cruelty-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free, pthalate-free, sulfate-free products that were tailored to young skin. Isabella then shared her products with her friends. “I had no plans to actually sell them until my friends started asking where they could buy the products! Once I started giving out some samples, it was amazing to see that they were really excited to have an all natural product, that also helps them to develop a healthy skincare routine.”

In June of 2016, at the age of 13, Isabella went on Shark Tank Australia, where she was the show’s youngest-ever entrepreneur. She brought an idea for her business, Luv Ur Self (Now Luv Ur Skin), which sold 5 all natural skin care products. Though she did not secure an investment deal, she was offered mentorship and work experience opportunities through the show, which she took advantage of. This also offered her a great amount of media coverage, with her website crashing 30 seconds into the episode due to high traffic on it.

Today, Luv Ur Skin is a successful business that has expanded within Australia and reached globally into the US markets. It has kept its message of self-love through taking the best care of yourself through gentle products that are all natural. It also continues to be a brand known for its tween and teen market – though its website expands the companies motto to mature skin. As Isabella has grown, so has her company – but it keeps its central message of loving and caring for yourself. Her success is a testament to the care and support she received from a young age to further her brilliant idea and hard work.
