Googan Squad

The company Googan is a fishing tackle, gear, and apparel company started in 2016. It was founded by 5 youtube fishing creators all in their 20s: LunkersTV, Jon B., Flair, apbassing, and 1Rod1Reel fishing. They all shared a passion for fishing, so they decided to build a company around that. What they did different was that unlike other companies that relied on marketing through professional fishermen and advertisements, the Googans did that marketing themselves on their youtube channels. They launched their first baits in 2018. The fact that their baits sold out as soon as they hit the aisles proved that content creators were the future of marketing. LunkersTV (Robert Terkla) was the one who originally proposed the idea to start a company. These pioneers still own the company but now have a strategic partnership with Catch Co.
