JD Vacca is a high school student who started Metro East Auto Spa. This is a mobile car detailing business, and he started it during his sophomore year. What I think is cool about his story is that he didn’t invent a huge tech company; instead, he saw a little problem and made it more convenient for people. He travels directly to the customers so that they don’t have to move their vehicle at all. This is one of the key points of innovation behind Metro East Auto Spa. It solves the simple problem that many people do not have the time or motivation to leave their vehicle at a shop. The company’s current website says that it is fully equipped with its own water and power, making the process easier for customers. He started the business in 2025 with a small amount of money and initially just worked for his friends and family. He then started doing door-to-door sales but wasn’t very successful at first. On his third attempt, he made a couple of sales, which showed his persistence. What I really like about this story is how innovative he was without inventing something. JD took something and changed the way it was delivered. He took a service and made it more convenient for people. He also added door-to-door sales to start his company but then shifted towards online advertising when he got bigger. I also think it’s cool that he was so young, as a sophomore in high school. Having the dedication and drive to start something at such a young age and be successful is genuinely amazing.
