Above is a photo of Zach Yadegari. At the young age of 18, Zach’s health app is already valued at over $30 million dollars and shows no sign of slowing down. Although graduating with a 4.0 GPA and a 34 ACT score, Zach had difficulty in being accepted into universities. However, after being rejected from several Ivy league schools, Zach finally found his home at the University of Miami. Despite the initial rejections, entering school in the fall he still owned an app worth $30 million.
As a young kid, Zach was always drawn to coding due to an early obsession for video games. As the years progressed, Zach slowly began to become more experienced with coding, leading to his first major success in the creation of “Totally Science”. The website, which was aimed at generating simple video games gained massive popularity during Covid, a time when people were staying primarily at home. After gaining a massive number of users, Zach sold the website for $100,000 when he was 16. Fueled by this early success, Zach knew that this was only the beginning.
In 2024, Zach officially launched Cal AI, and automated app that tracks how many calories user’s consumer with every meal. By simply snapping a photo, the AI will estimate how many calories is in the meal. This app grew a massive following and has established Zach as a bright, young entrepreneur ready to generate new ideas. Although, he has achieved much success with his enterprises, Zach still acknowledges the social benefits of attending college despite the difficulties with admissions.
