Henrie Kwushue

Henrie Kwushue is a woman of many talents. She started as a presenter on a radio show and quickly moved on to create her own production company called HTK Productions. In 2020, she ended up creating a three-part docu-series on YouTube called “Is Your Area Changing?” This series discussed the topic of gentrification in different UK neighborhoods.

As a result of this series, she went on to win the Dazed 100 fund, which is a “definitive list spotlighting the next generation of talent redefining youth culture.” Using this prize money, she went on to create another series called “Untold Stories,” which highlighted uncommon events in the lives of many diverse people.

She then continued her career in presenting and podcasting, hosting the “Who We Be Talks podcast”, as well as No Signal Radio. She also hosted for MTV and The Open University: Ones to Watch series. Today, she hosts a show with KISS XTRA Radio.

From a small YouTuber to big-time radio host, Henrie has built her brand and ideals on God, lifting up all voices, and examining culture in different neighborhoods of the UK.

I love the way Henrie built her platform from the ground up, she used her voice to connect with UK neighborhoods, and made connections with people around cities. This generation in my opinion lacks creating conversation with one another. Because we always text and call through are phones, but Henrie brought her voice to engage people into a conversation and that eventually paid off for her in the long run.

I love how Henrie is self-made and built her platform by herself. She is using her voice for a good cause by connecting people around UK neighborhoods.

I had no idea about her until reading this but it is refreshing to see a gen z content creator that did not strictly become famou from TikTok which is very easy to generate short fame with. But she seems to be buidling more of a lasting audience.
