Brooklyn and Bailey: Identical Twin Entrepreneurs
Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight are 25-year-old, identical twin entrepreneurs and social media influencers. They began their journey in 2008 being featured on their mother’s YouTube channel, “Cute Girl’s Hairstyles.” In 2013, they launched their own YouTube channel, “Brooklyn and Bailey,” where they shared lifestyle, beauty, and fashion content. From 2017-2018, they began releasing music, went on tours, and began a merchandise line.

As their high school senior project, they launched a mascara company called “Lash Next Door.” They marketed it to their growing social media accounts and it gained popularity. They later added hair scrunchies to their inventory.
After graduating high school, the twins obtained their bachelor’s degrees in Entrepreneurship from Baylor University. In March of 2022, Brooklyn pursued her license to become a Master Esthetician.
In more recent years, Lash Next Door has branched out to selling clothing, hair accessories, jewelry, and Kindle cases that the twins design. Again, the twins use their social media platforms to market these items. In January 2025, Lash Next Door launched on Amazon. Additionally, they have opened a warehouse in Allen, TX, which also serves as an office for their other endeavors.
In August of 2022, the twins blended their love for easy-to-understand skincare and Brooklyn’s esthetician license and founded a clean skincare brand called “ITK” (short for “In the Know”), under parent company, Maessa. ITK products are vegan, cruelty-free, dermatologist-tested, sulfate free, and paraben free. They also pride themselves in being affordable, accessible, and inclusive for diverse skin types. ITK is sold on their website and at Walmart.
Aside from being social media influencers (garnering a total of approximately 25.4 million total followers across all platforms) and running the previously mentioned businesses, they also have a number of collaborations with other brands. Individually, Brooklyn and her husband founded a soda shop company called “Sip City.” Bailey recently released a collaboration with glassware brand “Saudi Glassware” with a line of floral-inspired, hand blown glasses.
Currently, they are both married, and Brooklyn has one son. They still post on social media (Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.) regularly and also manage their businesses.
I found it inspiring how Brooklyn and Bailey pursued innovation in so many diverse paths and have been successful in every area. Additionally, their strong bond as twins seems to fuel their ideas. I also thought it is admirable how they are able to balance family life and being entrepreneurs.

These two are an absolutely iconic duo! It has been so interesting to see them branch out in all sorts of ways and use their platform to help build a strong brand. Plus, they have served as inspiration to so many young aspiring women.
I remember watching their hairstyles videos on YouTube when I was younger! It has been so cool to watch them grow and become not only influencers but also entrepreneurs. It’s impressive how many businesses they were able to create just from their YouTube channel, it shows how one small start can create a chain reaction of innovation!
