Ben Pasternak – Australia’s Poster Boy of Gen-Z Entrepreneurship
Ben Pasternak is a 26 year old entrepreneur born in Sydney, Australia. Ben started is entrepreneurial journey at just 13 years old whenever he coded his first mobile game called Impossible Rush, which ended up becoming a huge success on the app store. Seeing Ben’s talent and coding skills, Facebook and Google both offered Ben an internship in January of 2015. However, Ben declined both offers and moved to New York City to officially start his career of being one of the youngest and most successful Gen-Z entrepreneurs.
With Ben Pasternak’s new found home in NYC and his career truly starting, Ben had already started working on a few new projects by April 2015. The first project Ben founded was a social networking app called Flogg where young people could buy and sell items, similar to eBay. This early success had caught the attention of some venture capital firms, willing to fund some of Ben’s future projects. The use of this opportunity came whenever Ben decide to shut down Flogg to work on another social networking app called Monkey. The introduction of the app raised 2 million dollars, which went into its creation. Monkey hit the app store and became another overnight success and Ben sold it at an undisclosed price to Holla.
Ben Pasternak found his niche and capitalized on his brilliant coding skills through app creation. Specifically the niche of social networking apps for teens and young adults. Ben’s innovative and coding skills were a huge factor in his success, however Ben’s confidence and true in himself is what ultimately is what allowed for his success. Taking the risk of dropping out of school and moving to a completely new world is extremely ambitious. Ben’s forward thinking and constant need for creation and innovation pushed him to the top of his networking niche. Combining his skills and dedication with this forward thinking mindset, Ben pushed himself to become one of the top entrepreneurs in the middle and late 2010’s. Making a name for himself being one greatest Gen-Z entrepreneurs.
In more recent news, Ben pivoted his niche and Co-Founded a company called Stimulate. With the mission of upgrading the food system of the world to a more positive outlook. Which ended up taking the form of creative plant-based food products such as chicken nuggets, made with plants. Stimulate was recently acquired by Ahimsa Companies in 2024. Overall, Ben Pasternak is an inspiration for young entrepreneurs who want to make a difference in the world. Ben showed how combining skills and confidence can lead to a successful career in entrepreneurship.
