Zollipops

The founder of Zollipops is Alina Morse who created this business at only seven years old. Morse like many young children enjoyed eating lollipops. However, a major drawback of consuming lollipops is the high amount of sugar that they contain. Her parents told her the sugar from the lollipops was bad for her teeth which sparked her idea for Zollipops. Zollipops are a sugar-free, teeth cleaning lollipop that was created by Morse. This idea is so innovative and smart as nobody had ever seen something like this before. Morse was able to find a pain and a niche and was able to capitalize on it in a very smart and clever way. Though it seems like such a simple idea, nobody had done it before, and Morse was able to capitalize off of that. Morse used $3,500 of her own savings and some family investments to help kickstart her company. She pitched her idea of these healthy, plaque reducing lollipops to whole foods which was a great idea as she landed a deal with them. They were her first major retail partner, and this allowed her company’s brand to skyrocket. Over time Zollipops has become a top selling candy as it is sold in thousands of stores and is the third most purchased lollipop on Amazon. She ended up becoming a social media sensation for her extreme success at such a young age. Another interesting aspect of her company is how she gives back to the community. She founded the Million Smiles Initiative, which is a nonprofit that donates her lollipops to students in schools across the globe in hopes of teaching them about oral health and entrepreneurship. Her current net worth is estimated to be around $6 million which shows just how successful she has been.

I think it’s amazing how Alina Morse turned a simple childhood problem into such a successful business idea. Her ability to find a creative solution to something so common really shows her entrepreneurial mindset. It’s also inspiring how she uses her success to give back through the Million Smiles Initiative — that shows true leadership and purpose beyond profit.
