Moziah Bridges – Mo’s Bows
Born in 2002 in Memphis Tennessee, Moziah Bridges, or Mo for short, started his own handmade tie business at the age of nine. Prior to starting this business, Mo had always been intrigued by fashion and made ties out of his grandmother’s scrap fabric because he felt like he couldn’t find anything suitable to match his style and personality. This turned into Mo’s Bows. He continued making his hand knotted bow ties, and in 2014 was featured on ABC’s Shark Tank. Throughout the next few years was also feature on several other television shows. Through this appearance he gained much interest from fashion guru Daymond John who decided to mentor him. He did not, however, get an investment deal.

With Daymond John’s assistance, Mo’s Bows continued to improve and sales skyrocketed. He was inducted into the Tennessee State Museum Costume and Textile Institute in 2014. In 2017, Moziah was able to secure a contract with the NBA to provide bow ties for the league’s draft functions. Mo was also featured in O: The Oprah Magazine. The National Retail Association recognized him and awarded him the Dreamers award in 2016. Mo was named to Fortunes “18 under 18” list of young entrepreneurs. On top of all of these recognitions, he has made up to $700,000 up to this point from his business. He has expanded into additional states and has even hired employees. In 2012, Mo started the Go Mo! Summer Camp Scholarship Fund to help send kids from Memphis to summer camp. Moving forward he hopes to continue to expand his business into more stores and possibly expand to more clothing items as well. Moziah is a great example of a Genz entrepreneur because he found a skillset that he owned and made as much of it as he could.

This is a great story and I enjoyed learning about his rise to fame as a young entrepreneur. Mo was able to use something that he was good at and create a company based on the need for that talent.
I cant imagine being on shark tank at 21, especially for a creative area! his parents probably helped a lot.
I love how he found a passion at such a young age and was able to make a business out of it! Even though he didn’t get an investment deal, it is still so impressive to see what other connections he was able to make with his brand.
