Zach Watts Owner of IPF Racing

Zach Watts is the owner of IPF Racing before that he worked at GM in 2020 during covid, when he was starting to 3d print custom car parts. later he ended up leaving GM to go into IPF racing full time in 2023. Watts has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University in 2015. After college he worked at a design engineer at Pratt Miller gaining experience with vehicles, then moved on to General Motors where he worked there for 5 years till covid happened and he started IPF Racing in 2020 and then fully did that full time in 2023.

What is IPF racing is a company that makes car parts, but what makes this business unique is that he Is able to 3d scan these parts and put them into a cad software and modify them to what he wants or even the customer. Watt has a shop with a print farm inside that he is able to print whatever Watt may need or his customers need for the week which makes everything much simpler and faster, so he doesn’t have long wait time. What he is really unique part about him is he has the technology to 3d print metal so customer will send him broken parts he can scan and fix but not just fix he can then go through and modify them to say whatever the customer diseurs. What is not just able to print metal, but he can polish or even chrome the parts you make for the customers.

I learned that any Hoddy or side thing you have you can take it a turn it into your everyday gig which is amazing to be able to do something not many people can do and to do something you love every day is also very rare. Also to not be afraid to make your own market you never know you could end up with a brand-new market one day.

Interesting! I love hearing how entrepreneurs form a businesses out of their hobby! I think that is the end goal for a lot of Americans!
