Isabella Taylor – A Young New Look

Though Isabella Taylor is only twenty-five years old, she is a very successful entrepreneur who has started and led multiple businesses. Taylor was always interested in being creative and loves expressing herself through art. When she was younger, that was painting. She began painting when she was three years old, and started selling her paintings when she was eight years old. As she grew up, Taylor liked the ideas of messing with mixed media art and fabrics, which led to an interest in sewing, which opened her to the fashion industry. Taylor was eleven years old when she started her fashion line, Isabella Rose Taylor, and at the age of twelve, she was selling her clothing through Nordstrom stores all over the country. Her clothes are targeted towards people in the Gen-Z and Millennial era.Â
At the age of eleven, Taylor was finishing her high school studies, before she moved on to study Fine Arts at Austin Community College. When she was sixteen years old, Taylor graduated from Parson School of Design with a Fashion Marketing degree.
Taylor just came out with a collaboration with PB Teen to make home furnishings and an art studio line. This line includes bedroom decor, bedding, wall art, rugs, and canisters. She has been interested in creating interior design and is very happy with the experience she has been having with the line. Taylor also partnered with Latico to make a backpack that is perfect for any reason: going to school, going to an internship, or even just hanging out with friends.
The principles that I learned are that you can make a business out of a hobby that you enjoy doing. There doesn’t always have to be a specific need to make a certain business. The clothing industry didn’t need another line, yet Taylor made another one anyway, and she seems to be doing pretty well.

I like that you highlighted that you can start with a hobby or passion and find ways to grow it into something bigger, even in an industry that already has a lot of competition. It’s definitely important to know that doing what you love can turn into a successful business.
